Jewelry

Nature, whether camping, kayaking, skiing or sightseeing, influences my creative spirit.  Living in Colorado has given me the opportunity to visit many National Parks throughout the West including Bryce, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, Glacier, Tetons, Moab, the Grand Canyon and more.  Each place has its own rocks in a variety of colors from black to sky blue in unlimited combinations and patterns. The color palates of stones, plus their intricate details, has been my inspiration for making jewelry. The rock and mineral displays at natural history museums across America opened my eyes to the unlimited variations of stones such as tourmaline, agate, jasper, opals, diamonds and pearls to name a few. New stones to me such as Chrysocolla in blue-green, Iolite in blue-purple, and all the brown tones of Zircon, inspire me to create wearable objects celebrating the colors of our planet. Working with a variety of gems, both precious and semi-precious, I combine the stones with a variety of metals, Swarovski crystals, and fired glass from Czech Republic and Japan; no pieces are ever alike.

I also work commissions and will redesign jewelry from vintage family favorites. Healing stones and birth stones are also in my creative repertoire.
